JOB PROFILE:
● Oversee production operations, manage daily work load & set targets with subordinates to ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and cost targets.
● Manpower handling is ensuring that in every shift an output should be high and consistent. (Balancing of skilled workers and semi-skilled or trainee workers).
● Make the production process as efficient as possible by implementing different production techniques, like Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, poka yoke.
● Manage subcontractors/vendors and develop new subcontractors/vendors. Train contractors to get the quality work done with in specified time frame.
● Develop and implement quality control procedures to monitor product quality throughout the production process.
● Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
● Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality deviations and non-conformances, and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
● Implement quality assurance tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and optimize production efficiency.
● Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Also, visit at Customer & Supplier end for resolving Quality Issues if required.
● Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in production and quality control.
● Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, related to production processes, quality standards, and procedures.
● Train production staff on quality control techniques, procedures, and best practices.
● Prepare of weekly & monthly work in progress (WIP) report, Quality Assurance Plane (QAP), Maintain WPS (Welding procedure Specification) & Procedure qualification record (PQR), WPQ & PQR as required as per ASME Sec. IX. Maintain Welder qualification & performance records.
● Perform NDT as per ASNT standard like liquid penetrate tests (LPT/DP), Interpretation for Ultrasonic tests, MPI tests and Radiographic inspections
● Coordination with client for any discrepancies observed during production.
● Controlling the requirement of raw Material, Seal kit & other assembly parts.
● Handling customer inspection & third party inspectors like TUV NORD, BVIQ, EEE, IRS etc. Preparing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) protocols for inspection.
● Planning for manufacturing, repairing, and assembly/testing of all product/equipment.
